Vertical and parallel to a methane copy made in your image. We exchange glances in our periphery. Acceptance so close lies in the hand of my self proclaimed enemy. They breathe in only to speak; I inhale to accept. Disease resides within our vicinity and lies dormant in the hands of the creator and me. Seeking a host. One that can’t live without such. Shared vulnerability, compatible hurt. One in silence, both in pain. To exit myself is my wish, my only wish, it’s not. I hold on because, I too, feel. I cry out because I feel for you. Trapped in a small steel room the echoes shout back at me. Curled up in a corner, there’s no space to reach out. Stability paints a picture of familiar faces and everyday they pass me by. In my state I miss them both but very soon I’ll leave too. My sternum collapses inward. Passing consequence. Traveling forward towards aggressive remission.
